How To Use ebay Selling Manager
Remember when you subscribed for your eBay store, I asked you to Subscribe to selling manager and sales report for free. Now I am going to discuss selling manager in details. As I am writing this tutorial, selling manager is free. However, this is subject to change by eBay.
As your eBay business and your sales grow, you will need a more sophisticated system to trck and manage your sales. Here is the time when the role of ebay selling manager appears Selling Manager is an online sales management tool that lets you stay on top of your listings and sales, create and schedule new listings, and save time on common tasks. Now Lets Go for a snapshot of selling manager and explain its features in details: To access selling manager, Go to My eBay and click selling manager:
Explaining everything in details is beyond the scope of this Tutorial.. Selling manager needs practicing and experience. You will master it after a lot of trials and errors. However, I will be highlighting the most important issues to put you on the start line.This is a snapshot of the whole selling manager page. I will explain each section separately.
At A Glance
This section of selling mnage gives you an idea of your sales in the last 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days, 90 and 120 days.
Selling Manager Alerts & To Do's
As you can see above, I numbered the most important alerts and to do's and i will discuss them in details. 1. Now click paid with no feedback , you will be directed to the screen shot below where you will be able to see all your paid items that need a feedback to be left. You will be able to leave a feedback for all your listings at the same time. Imagine if you have 40 sales that you want to leave a feedback for them. With selling manager you can leave it for them in just one step.
As shown above, first of all click to mark all the listings that you want to leave a feedback for them and then click the tab "Feedback". Now take a look below:
Now you can choose a stored comment or you can write a custom comment. Then click leave feedback. 2. Click Listing Eligible for unpaid item reminder: this link will show you and help you manage bought items with delayed payments from buyers. After you click it, you will be directed to this page:
The above picture displays all the listings which are eligible for unpaid item reminder by ebay. Those are the listings in which their buyers did not pay for their items for a week or more. After you mark the listing that you want ebay to send a reminder for it, go ahead and click continue.
Now choose the reason for which you want ebay to send a reminder for this listing and click send reminder. eBay will contact the buyer immediately after you open your case. If the buyer doesn't respond within 7 days, you can close the case and receive a final value fee credit. You need to close your case within 60 days from the time of the transaction. On the 61st day after the end of the transaction, if you haven't closed your case, eBay automatically closes it and you are not credited the Final Value fee back to your account.
3. Click cancel Bids early: This link will help you to remove bids from certain listing. In general, sellers shouldn’t cancel bids on their listings. However, there are a few legitimate reasons for doing so: A bidder contacts you to back out of the bid or You cannot verify the identity of the bidder after trying all reasonable means of contact or You want to end your listing early [ your item is broken or you put your starting price wrong]. When you click cancel Bids, you will see this page
As shown above, you will be asked to put the item number of the listing that you want to cancel its bids, ebay user ID of the bidder and reason for canceling. 4. Click end listing early: In some cases, you might find that you need to end a listing early. For example, you might discover that the item you are selling doesn’t work or is missing a part. Before ending a listing: Make sure that you have a valid reason for ending the listing. Check that you meet the requirements for ending the listing. If there are 12 hours or less before the end of the listing, restrictions apply. After you Click end listing early, you will be directed to this page:
Put the item number as shown above and then click continue:
Now select a reason for ending your listing early and then click end my listing.
Listing activity
1. Active listings: when you click active listings, you will be directed to all your listings, whether fixed price, auction or store inventory.
as shown above, you can choose to view items from certain store category or specific listing format. You can send store inventory listings to auction or fixed formats by selecting the listings you want and then selecting the action Tab [ for example send to online auction tab]. You will notice also that there is dropdown menu infront of each listing where you can deal with each listing separately. Pick up the action you want from the dropdown menu. 2.Ending today: When you click it, you will be directed to all your listings ending today. You can manage this listings.. you might need to sell similar listings like them or view number of bidders. you might also end one of them earlier if you have a problem with the item you are selling.
As shown above, you can mark the listing you want and then select the action from the dropdown menu infront of each listing. 3. Listings with questions: this will direct you to the listings that have questions from potential buyers. You will be able to see how many questions each listing have and you will then respond.
You will be able to see in the above view the number of questions infront of each listing and then you can click respond to anwer.
As I mentioned before, selling manager is beyond the scope of this book. You will need to do trial and errors until you master it.
